WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU START WITH BLUETEK IT SOLUTIONS

Most managed IT companies onboard a new client in one afternoon: install a remote monitoring agent on your computers, add you to their dashboard, hand you a phone number, and call it done. Two weeks later when something breaks, they ask questions they should already know the answers to.

Bluetek does not operate that way. Our onboarding process is the most detailed in Central Pennsylvania, and it is why our clients have fewer emergencies, faster resolution times, and better outcomes than businesses that went with the install-and-hope approach. We scope onboarding for your environment and walk you through it before you sign.

THE BLUETEK ONBOARDING PROCESS

PHASE 1: DISCOVERY CALL (30 MIN)

Before we visit your office or touch anything on your network, we spend 30 minutes on the phone learning about your business, your team size, your critical applications, your current IT situation, your pain points, and your most important technology concerns. By the end of this call, we know which plan tier fits your needs.

PHASE 2: ON-SITE ASSESSMENT (1-2 HOURS)

A Bluetek technician comes to your office for a structured technical assessment. We document every server, workstation, laptop, and network device; all software applications and versions; your network topology, ISP setup, and wireless infrastructure; your current backup solution; your Microsoft 365 configuration and Secure Score; your firewall, switches, and network equipment; your current security posture; and any immediate risks. You receive a plain-English summary.

PHASE 3: DOCUMENTATION BUILD (WEEK 1-2)

Asset register (every device catalogued), network diagram, software inventory, security baseline, key vendor contacts (ISP, copier, software vendors, domain registrar), and recovery procedures. This documentation lives in our system and is updated any time we make a change.

PHASE 4: DEPLOYMENT (WEEK 2-3)

NinjaRMM agent on every managed device, EDR across all workstations and servers, Proofpoint email security on M365, Microsoft Intune enrollment, MFA enforcement on M365, backup agent with verified test restore, DNS filtering. Anything disruptive is scheduled off-hours.

PHASE 5: FIRST 30 DAYS, QUICK WINS

Outdated software and missing patches applied. Failed backup jobs identified and resolved (usually found at every client). Orphaned accounts from former employees disabled. Printer and peripheral configurations cleaned up. Staff introduced to the helpdesk. One brief training session on new security tools.

PHASE 6: STEADY STATE

24/7 monitoring and alerting on all managed devices. Helpdesk support, 100% in-house, local Central PA technicians. Monthly scheduled on-site visits (for clients who opt in). Proactive patch management. Monthly reports. Technology planning conversations, flagging aging equipment before it fails.

WHAT DOES ONBOARDING COST?

Onboarding is scoped to your environment, and we review the scope with you before you sign. A properly onboarded client is easier to support, and clients who know their environment have better outcomes.

BY DAY 30

Your environment is documented, monitored, properly secured, and backed up. Most clients notice the difference immediately: fewer random IT problems, faster resolution when something comes up, and a team that already knows their setup.
