NINJAONE MONITORING AND PATCHING
NinjaOne is a remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform. A small agent on each computer and server reports health, installs patches, runs maintenance scripts and lets technicians connect remotely. Bluetek uses NinjaOne to keep Central PA clients’ devices updated and healthy.
What it does
NinjaOne monitors disk space, CPU, memory, services, backups and hardware warnings, and alerts us when something is wrong. It schedules Windows, macOS and third-party application patches, deploys software and runs automated fixes.
Typical small-business use
For our clients, NinjaOne is mostly invisible. Patches install after hours, alerts come to our technicians, and when you call for help we can connect to your screen in seconds.
Problems we fix
We catch failing drives, full disks, stopped backups and missed updates before they cause downtime. We also clean up machines that stopped checking in and handle patches that fail.
Licensing quirks
NinjaOne is licensed per device, typically through an MSP, and add-ons such as backup or ticketing are separate. We include it in our managed plans, so you don’t buy it directly.
Patching policy
We approve Windows updates on a short delay so we can watch for bad updates, then roll them out in rings: a few test machines first, then everyone. Critical security fixes go out faster.
Third-party apps
Browsers, PDF readers, Zoom and other common apps are patched automatically, closing the gaps attackers love.
Remote support
Technicians connect securely with your permission, and sessions are logged.
Reporting
Monthly reports show patch status, device health and warranty dates.
Offboarding
When a computer is retired, we remove the agent and the license.
How it fits our stack
NinjaOne is the backbone of our service, connecting to Huntress, backup tools and our ticketing so every alert reaches a technician.
Automated fixes
Many common problems fix themselves before anyone notices. When a disk fills up, NinjaOne clears temporary files. When a critical service stops, it restarts it. When a backup misses a night, it opens a ticket. Those small automations prevent the slow pileup of problems that leads to a bad day.
Hardware and warranty inventory
NinjaOne keeps a live inventory of every device: model, serial number, age, memory, disk and installed software. We use it to plan replacements, track warranty dates and answer insurance and audit questions quickly.
Mac and server coverage
The same platform covers Windows PCs, Macs and servers, so mixed offices get one consistent standard.
- Computers and servers monitored
- Updates installed on schedule
- Remote fixes without a site visit
PROBLEMS MONITORING PREVENTS
